It is the passion for mushrooms and the love for beautiful things that brought us together, Delphine JULIEN, Jean-Marc AUFFRAY and Christophe CROLET, around the concept of the Boutique du Champignon in Alsace.
The Mushroom Shop
from Font-Romeu
The first Mushroom Shop was created in Font-Romeu in Cerdagne (Pyrénées Orientales) in 1998.
In 2002, the Boutique du Champignon received a Golden Mercury there for its innovation.
Created by the CCIs and the Ministry of SMEs, Trade and Crafts, this award honors the best traders in France for their innovation, the quality of their marketing and financial management, as well as for their quality approach.
The Mushroom Shop
from Villefranche de Conflent
In 2003 , the Mushroom Shop moved from Font-Romeu to the magnificent fortified village of Villefranche de Conflent , still in the Catalan Pyrenees, halfway between Perpignan and Andorra.
It occupies there a former guardhouse of this bastion erected by Vauban.
3 vaulted rooms in beautiful marble, granite and cayrou (brick used in Catalan country since the XVth century), shelter an enchanted shop on 150 square meters dedicated to the mushroom and the wonderful world which surrounds it.

And it is 1000 km from its Pyrenean cradle that a second Mushroom Shop chose to take root in Eguisheim in Alsace in 2006.
Alsace, a land of noble gastronomic traditions where mushrooms from the neighboring Vosges cannot be missed in the kitchen, especially game.
Eguisheim, at the gates of Colmar, is not content with being, through its cultural center, one of the most beautiful villages in France for tourists.
Eguisheim is the winner of the France 2 television program: "The French People's Favorite Village 2013".

The village has warm inhabitants who energize the life of the city through a particularly rich and dense associative activity.
It is good to live and work in Eguisheim, our visitors perceive and appreciate this serene climate and they are even looking for it again by frequenting the village assiduously in different seasons.
Eguisheim is not a village where you just pass by, it is a village where you stop to take the time to appreciate its beauty and riches (historical and heritage, oenological and culinary).
The warm atmosphere is complemented by zen music or the sounds of nature.

La Boutique du Champignon has chosen to make its nest there to share with you its own wealth of art objects and gastronomic specialties made from mushrooms.
The exceptional setting of Eguisheim, cradle of the Alsatian vineyard, a village of traditions and gastronomy, with its streets in concentric circles around the medieval castle and its picturesque half-timbered houses richly flowered, seduced us.
It is in a spacious and warm room in the old classified center that we present the mushroom in all its forms.
Second Boutique du Champignon in France therefore, which allowed us to further refine this great company, according to a unique concept in Europe.
The interior design and decoration are meticulous to create a beautiful boutique while wanting to remain sober and in good taste.
The wooden half-timberings are visible, the display shelves are in solid birch wood, light in color.
The decorative objects are reminiscent of nature: bark of pine and cork oak, pine cones, dead leaves, forest mushrooms in season, green plants.
We received the Hospitality Trophy awarded by the CCI of Colmar and Central Alsace in 2014 and 2022 (Gold Label) for our Eguisheim Mushroom Shop.

Within our blog, we also share news from our village of Eguisheim and the Mushroom Festival which takes place there every year on the last weekend of October.
The Boutique du Champignon d'Eguisheim created this Fête du Champignon in 2006, and the organization of this annual event is provided by the Association des Partenaires Economiques d'Eguisheim in collaboration with the Société Mycologique du Haut-Rhin.

Tasting of gastronomic specialties with mushrooms and summer truffles in Eguisheim
When you visit us at our Mushroom Shop in Eguisheim , we are delighted to offer you a free tasting of a small sample of our flagship gastronomic specialties with mushrooms and summer truffles.
On the other hand, if you wish to discover, with family or friends, a wider range of our specialties with mushrooms and summer truffles, we offer the following different paying formulas of aperitif tasting for a maximum of 10 people simultaneously (duration between 20 and 30 minutes):
Tasting formula of 9 specialties at 5 € per person
Tasting formula of 12 specialties at 6 € per person
Tasting formula of 14 specialties at 7 € per person
The event takes place every evening by appointment at 18 p.m. and 18:30 p.m. in our Boutique du Champignon in Eguisheim.
It is necessary to reserve your tasting beforehand, preferably 24 hours in advance.
